Maz Jobrani, an Iranian-American, talked about the many Middle Eastern stereotypes that happen in America in his TED Talk. He gives examples like every Middle Eastern looking person is automatically a terrorist and every Islam person wants to start a war. He explains how he has even stereotyped the Indian culture before. Jobrani explains how people do not even realize they are doing it (stereotyping) because that is the way most people see it. Many Americans see Hollywood movies where the criminal is Middle Eastern, and they start to assume every Middle Eastern is exactly like that. I like this talk because it shines a light on all of the victims that get made fun of on the daily because of what they look like. It calls out the many ignorant Americans that think someone that doesn't look like them is automatically a bad person. This relates to the American dream because everyone in America looks different, and everyone is created equal. No matter the color of someones skin or their religion, they deserve a chance to make it in America.
